There seems to be a problem, which seems to be a long-term problem with no end in sight. There are 7,500 (estimate) people living on the Alumwell Estate.

Some of these people would like to do things in the area, or help with what is already taking place. But they are faced with a red-light, you have to stop before you can go, but the red light is always on, therefore you have to remain in one place, you cannot move forward you can only return home and wish you have never put yourself…

The I Love Alumwell Open Day, which took place on Saturday 21^st July 2012, at the Innovation Centre, which is place at the centre of the community, was a great success, for the whole Alumwell Community. It was based on the Asset Building Community Development (ABCD). There was a bouncy castle, which was a joy for the younger people of our community, face painting, football tournament and much more. Last week I was invited to attend an Asset Building Community Development Training organised by Dawn Carr, the speaker being Cormac Russell, which took place at the Public Art gallery in West Bromwich in the West Midlands, UK.
