This is going to be a difficult blog to write because it is intensely personal.
We talk about self care but little is written about self-help groups. Put two people together that share a common issue, one finding their way and one who has got the t-shirt and see what happens. Peer support can offer challenge, aspiration and hope in a way you can’t get on your own or with your health professional.
