Cormac Russell said… Curious to hear what members of the recovery community make of the NHS stuff around Joint Strategic Needs Assessment. There is appears to be a growing move towards asset based approaches in public health. What if anything will this mean to the recovery community; can we shape it? should we shape it? Do we care?

Brian Morgan said… Yes Paul, there will be some PiR (People in Recovery) training coming up in Feb, a 10 week programme. Are you and Julie around next week? I'd like to introduce you to David from Crawley EXACT.
Brian Morgan said… Hi Paul. We should definitely meet up at some point very soon. Has anyone mentioned EXACT to you at Addaction?
Paul Peters said… Hi I'm Paul, I've been in recovery for 11 months after a 12 year addiction to alcohol. Just recently beed made a recovery champion by Addaction Crawley. I am looking at ways to develop a recovery community, with input from organisations like Addaction and peer support for continue recovery from addiction. And help others understand addiction and the sigma that may come with trying to recover, and how many people are stereotyped people with addiction.
